This is DEFINITELY not Marvel's Avengers

This was the perception I had of GotG when it was revealed and truthfully, I was not looking to it, nor was I planning to pick it up. The critic reviews definitely helped to sway my opinion I decided to pick it up day one.
Oh what a pleasant surprise this game is. So much charm, so much character and it really feels like you are playing a Guardians game. The combat is fun, the banter is hillarious (Drax kills me) and the world is wacky and very alien. I am only a few hours in but am already enjoying this way more than I anticipated and it is undoubtedly a GARGANTUAN step up from Marvel's Avengers.
I do have some issues with the camera sometimes (not sure if its a symptoms of playing on last-gen as I am still on PS4 Pro) but those issues are minor and can easily be excused in light of the pure fun you get from playing this game.
The above thoughts are first impressions but I don't forsee much changing so all in all, a definite MUST-BUY for any Marvel fan!
